Pastor Scott and the guys from Country Oaks Baptist Church are having a 9/11: "We Remember" Community Event and Concert In honor of our community's First Responders, Friday evening, September 11th, a concert featuring Rick Stevens, former lead singer of Tower of Power, will be hosted by Country Oaks Baptist Church, 9717 Bond Road in Elk Grove. Also that evening from 5:30 -- 9:30 p.m., will be various presentations, a classic car show with trophies, food trucks, vendors/crafters, a large raffle inc. iPad Air 2, and numerous activities for children. Hmong club at Kennedy high school is having a basketball tournament/fundraiser this Saturday the 20th, they picked out traditional trophies, 4 column economic trophies First place was 45" tall and 2nd place was 40" tall, they also got a small MVP cu.

Capital City Classic is the first and only Off-Season Robotics Competition in the Sacramento Area. Based on the FIRST Robotics Competition of this year, "Arial Assist," student designed robots compete against each other to win the title of champion! Also during the event, food, tours, and a multi-prize raffle will available, featuring tickets to Disneyland! Come out and watch
